Email a quick list — set names, approximate condition, any grading slab IDs. We'll come back with which cards are a good consignment fit and whether assessments would help any of them sell better. No assessment is required to consign.

Tell us the lowest price you'd accept for each card. We won't sell below it, ever.

The price we'll list at initially. We may negotiate down toward the floor on offers from serious buyers.

We list and store

Cards are listed on Holdr and partner NZ marketplaces. They live in secure climate-controlled storage in Auckland until sold.

Sale happens

Buyer pays Holdr. We pack and ship tracked with NZ Post. Cards with a Verified Report ship with the report reference attached for the buyer — same documentation they saw on the listing.

You get paid

Settlement to your nominated NZ bank account within 5 working days of buyer confirmation. One clean deposit, not a stream of tiny PayPal payments.

Lower than most marketplace + middleman combinations. We're already familiar with your card from the assessment, the listing photos are already done, and storage is already organised. The operational efficiency comes back to you.

Examples: A $150 card sold → you net $120 (20% commission). A $300 card → $255 (15%). A $1,000 card → $900 (10%). No payment surcharges deducted.

Listings built using your existing Holdr Verified Report photos — high-resolution hero shots, corner detail, centring measurements, UV authentication, microscope imaging. No additional photography fee.

🔒 Secure storage in Auckland

Climate-controlled storage in our Auckland facility. Cards are in sleeves and toploaders or original slabs, tracked by report ID. First 90 days free; 1% of declared value per month thereafter.

💬 Buyer communication & negotiation

We handle every buyer enquiry, condition question, and offer. Anything below 90% of your ask comes back to you for approval. We never go below your floor.

📦 Packing & shipping at sale

Sleeve, toploader, rigid mailer, NZ Post tracked. Signature-required for cards over $200. Shipping is invoiced to the buyer separately at NZ Post rates.

💰 Settlement to your bank

One clean NZD deposit to your nominated bank account within 5 working days of buyer confirmation. No payment-processing surcharges. No PayPal fees. No currency conversion.

Every consigned card visible in your My Cards portal — listing status, current ask, offers received, days in storage. You always know what's happening with your inventory.

Frequently asked questions

What if my card doesn't sell?

After the first 90 days, we'll have a conversation about adjusting the ask price or pulling the card back. Storage fees of 1% per month of declared value start after day 90 — a $200 card costs $2/month in storage.

Do you handle international buyers?

For now, NZ and Australian buyers only. International expansion is on the roadmap once we've sorted insured shipping outside Australasia.

How do you set the listing price?

You set both ask and floor. The ask is what we list at initially. The floor is the absolute minimum we'll accept. If a buyer offers between ask and floor, we'll evaluate it and check with you on anything below 90% of ask.

Do I need an assessment to consign?

No — assessments are optional. Slabbed cards skip them entirely (the grading company has already documented condition). Raw cards over $100 typically list better with a Verified Report because buyers can see exactly what they're buying — but it's a recommendation, not a requirement. Below $100, a quick condition check is usually enough. We'll suggest the right level when you email us your list.

What about returns from buyers?

Because every card is documented in advance with a Holdr Verified Report, returns are extremely rare. If a buyer disputes condition we mediate using the report photos — which makes outcomes predictable. Reports protect both sides.

Should I consign or sell directly to Holdr?

Consignment nets you more (90% of sold price vs. ~60-70% on a direct sale) but takes longer — usually 2-8 weeks to sell. Direct sale is immediate cash today, lower net. Rule of thumb: consign cards over $200 unless you need the cash now. Email us if unsure and we'll talk through it.
